Born and educated in Singapore the author now lives in Perth, Australia with his family. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Singapore (1972); Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Asia Theological Centre for Evangelism and Mission (1993); and a Master of Arts (with honours) from Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (1999).

For nearly thirty years he held executive positions in several multi-national companies, the last of which was as the director and head of a U.S logistics operation in Singapore. He became a born-again Christian in 1986, and served in various capacities in the church in Singapore. After taking up seminary studies to improve his understanding of the Bible and to minister more effectively in his church, he decided to exit the business world to focus more intensely on the study of God's Word, the Bible, in 1997.

Now ministering in small groups he is involved in preaching and teaching in both Singapore and Perth, Australia. He has spent the last ten years in an intensive study of the Bible and has developed a great love for Israel and the Jewish people. His concern is that a genuine and deep love of Israel and the Jewish people may not exist in many churches. His desire in this book is to illuminate the Church's understanding of Israel in the Bible and to support and pray for Israel.

His recreational activities in the past were swimming, scuba diving, sky-diving, and playing squash. His interest now is mainly focused on the Bible - teaching and sharing the truth of the Bible and Israel - as well as reading and playing the occasional game of golf.
